My Yacht, My Ja – Rise Up, Wise Up: A Trump parody rap inspired by Hamilton re-uploaded on SoundCloud

with 4 comments

Maybe some of you remember the “My Yacht, My Ja”-track, a particularly well done Trump parody rap inspired by L.M. Mirandas masterpiece musical “Hamilton”.

“My Yacht, my Ja” by AHamiltonSpirit has been available on youtube for a couple of months. In the past couple of days, we’ve been thinking of a better place to harbor it.

And it seems, we have found one. Enjoy, and don’t forget to turn your speakers on full volume for this.

While you listen, here are the lyrics to better follow the flow of words if you’re not a native English speaker: My Yacht, My Ja, Rise Up, Wise Up – lyrics (pdf)

Recorded on: February 2017 in New York

Lyrics and recording by: @AHamiltonSpirit (who asked us to send his thanks to L. M. Miranda – in case this thank you reaches him this way. We’ll do our best in that regard.)

  1. interesting hint: Roger Sollenberger tweets “Speaking of “Alice’s Restaurant,” Donald Trump’s dad was Woody & Arlo Guthrie’s landlord – and Woody actually wrote a song about how racist Trump Sr was. He called it “Old Man Trump” – here are the lyrics.”
